DeMar DeRozan scored 29 points and Zach LaVine added 27 as the Chicago Bulls (25-10) extended its win streak to eight with a 102-98 victory over the Orlando Magic (7-31) on Jan. 3 at the United Center.
The win streak is the team's longest since 2012.
According to ESPN.com, Bulls coach Billy Donovan returned after missing five games while in NBA COVID health and safety protocols. He entered protocols Dec. 24, and dealt only with mild symptoms.
Franz Wagner led the Magic with 22 points.
After playing three games over the last four days, the Bulls won't play again until Friday, Jan. 7, versus the Washington Wizards (19-18) at the United Center. On New Year's Day, the Bulls edged Washington 120-119 at D.C.'s Capital One Arena.
