In addition, 76 other elected public officials have agreed to serve as members of the Run & Walk's honorary committee.
AIDS Run & Walk Chicago will also have pre-event, route and post-event music entertainment as well as a 'Health Expo' featuring 20 local organizations that provide health, legal, prevention and other services to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Registration materials, including team packets, pledge forms, brochures and materials to promote this year's Run & Walk, can be obtained by visiting www.aidschicago.org or calling the AIDS Foundation of Chicago at ( 312 ) 922-2322. Advance per-person registration is $20; on-site is $25.
Run & Walk proceeds benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago's grant-making program. The event is also an important way to show support for efforts to sustain and expand responses to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. |
