In California, Lance Bass is a co-owner of Rocco's WeHo—the latest iteration in a small chain of establishments that mixes a traditional sports bar with an Italian-American eatery, Advocate.com noted. However, this queer spot also includes a dance floor that's unveiled during the weekends. JC Chasez attended the restaurateur's 40th birthday party, which was held at Rocco's in May, alongside other famous friends like Allison Janney and Lisa Vanderpump.

The first openly transgender actor in the Marvel Universe says there needs to be more representation of his experience, according to Page Six. Zach Barack—who plays a classmate of Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home—has said said that, to him, superhero movies "always felt like a trans story because it's talking about identity." ( His gender identity is not addressed in the brief role. ) The Chicago-area native, who also appeared in the TV series L.A.'s Finest, said there needs to be more roles for trans people in all sorts of movies.

Miley Cyrus dropped a new video for their song "Mother's Daughter," and it highlights issues of feminism, queer sexuality and gender fluidity, LGBTQ Nation noted. It also features queer female skateboarder Lacey Baker, trans model Casil McArthur, Black trans disabled model Aaron Philip and young Black activist Little Miss Flint, among others. During the video, slogans appear onscreen like "Every woman is a riot," "You are f*** beautiful," "Virginity is a social construct" and "Sin is in your eyes." Cyrus—who identifies as queer, pansexual and gender fluid, and is married to actor Liam Hemsworth—has long spoken in favor of LGBTQ rights and identity.

Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski threw fans into a frenzy on the Fourth of July after Porowski posted a picture of the two co-workers kissing along with the caption: "I guess Amurica's birthday's our anniversary, babe," Queerty noted. Kylie Jenner showed her support for parent Caitlyn in a recent Instagram video, wearing a pair of pink, blue and purple tie-dye sweatpants and Ugg's "Pride Fluff Yeah" slides ( $100 ), which feature fuzzy pink, blue and white stripes and a logo-branded heel strap based on the colors of the transgender flag, Page Six noted. Caitlyn publicly came out about her transition in April 2015 during a highly publicized interview with Diane Sawyer. A few months later, she made her public debut on the cover of Vanity Fair.

The former Massachusetts busboy who accused Kevin Spacey of sexual assault has abruptly dropped his civil lawsuit against the actor, Page Six revealed. The alleged victim filed a voluntary notice of dismissal in Massachusetts Superior Court, attorney Mitchell Garabedian said. The young man claimed Spacey plied him with alcohol before reaching into his pants to grope him at the Club Car Restaurant in July 2016. Spacey has been charged with indecent assault and battery; that case is still pending. The Oscar winner has denied the allegations.

However, in other Spacey-related news, Scotland Yard investigators have questioned him about the sexual-assault allegations he's facing in London, according to Page Six. The British cops grilled Spacey—who is accused of assaulting six different men between 1996 and 2013—in the United Staes sometime in May, Variety recently reported. The former House of Cards star has not been formally charged over the allegations, which surfaced in late 2017.

Lee Daniels' long battle to find a home for his canceled Fox series Star seems to have taken a new twist, Deadline noted. Daniels did not reveal any details about where the Star finale would appear.

Florence + the Machine will celebrate a decade since the release of the band's seminal album Lungs with a re-release on Aug. 16, a press release noted. There will be a special collectors' box set and digital package that offer a number of unheard songs, B-sides and rarities including two unreleased demos—"My Best Dress" and "Donkey Kosh"—that are now available. The documentary Catching Sight of Thelma & Louise is now available to own ( $14.99 ) or rent ( $5.99 ) on Amazon Prime Video Direct and CatchingSightOf.com, a press release noted. Iggy Azalea's sophomore album, In My Defense, will be released July 19, a press release noted. The four-time Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum artist will celebrate this release with a headline show at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on July 19, in partnership with TIDAL. Her debut album, The New Classic, featured the hit "Fancy."

There will be a fourth season of Wynonna Earp, the popular series based on the IDW comic created by Beau Smith, Deadline noted. Season four is scheduled to begin later this year for premiere in summer 2020 on Syfy in the United States and Space in Canada. That will make for a two-year gap between seasons three and four. The fourth season of Wynonna Earp was delayed by issues with funding at IDW Entertainer, which said earlier in the year that it was in danger of losing money on the show.

Vin Diesel announced on Instagram that Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are returning for Fast & Furious 9, Deadline reported. In 2017's Fate of the Furious, Theron played cyberterrorist Cipher while Mirren played Magdalene Shaw, the mother of Deckard ( Jason Statham ) and Owen ( Luke Evans ). An assault case against Kevin Hunter Jr.—the son of talk-show host Wendy Williams—has been dismissed, TMZ.com reported. Prosecutors said they'd reviewed the case and decided to no longer pursue charges against him for allegedly punching his father in the face during a parking-lot scuffle. Kevin Hunter Sr. walked into the New Jersey court with his son and told the judge he agreed with the prosecutor's decision not to pursue charges.

Kim Kardashian West is calling the decision to name her shapewear brand Kimono "innocent" in a new interview for WSJ. Magazine's first-ever all-digital issue, People.com noted. After facing accusations of cultural appropriation for naming the forthcoming brand after a traditional Japanese clothing item, she announced plans to change the name.

A SAG-AFTRA disciplinary committee has found actor Kip Pardue guilty of "serious misconduct" in relation to a sexual harassment complaint filed by actress Sarah Scott, Deadline.com noted.
