The Oct. 29 episodes of Paramount Network's Heathers reboot were pulled in deference to the tragic synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh that left 11 people dead, Page Six reported. Sources said the episodes were pulled because they featured a storyline involving high school students undergoing active shooter training. The Oct. 30 episode/finale was slated to air, though.
William Clayton, the son of Oliver Queen, was revealed to be gay during a recent episode of Arrow, Gay Times Magazine noted. During a flash-forward in "The Longbow Hunters"—the second episode of the show's seventh season—a grown William ( Ben Lewis ) admits his sexuality during a conversation with Roy Harper ( Colton Haynes ). Arrow has been airing on The CW since its debut in 2012.

Masks—a film about a closeted Persian woman who comes out after surviving a mass shooting, and helmed by out writer-director Mahaliyah Ayla O—won Outstanding Drama, the Critics' Choice Award and the Audience Award. Rani—about a Pakistani trans woman who adopts an abandoned child—won Outstanding Writer for writer-director Hammad Rizvi; the film stars Pakistani trans activist Kami Sid, in her acting debut.
Nielsen released a list of the top 20 shows watched most by viewers with same-gender partners or spouses, TheWrap.com reported. CBS' reboot of Murphy Brown ( which didn't even crack the top 20 among a general audience ) topped the list, with a total of 339,000 viewers with same-gender partners or spouses. A few of the other shows included The Good Doctor, The Big Bang Theory and This Is Us.

At a press event for Fox's Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, INTO Magazine asked star Rami Malek if he sees Freddie Mercury as a gay icon—and the actor's response was one that some have called awkward, Instinct Magazine noted. "I think the way—what's really great about him is that he never wanted to or thought about himself as being boxed into anything," Malek said. "If he's an icon to one, there's no reason it requires another adjective, as far as I see it. … 'Icon,' I think, encompasses whatever, the way you identify, I think."

Neil Patrick Harris has signed on as the face of Duuple, a new social app that hosts user-generated challenges to be shared among friends or with the world, People.com reported. Harris' first order of business involved launching a dance challenge of his own. The star is daring anyone who'll risk humiliation to upload their best dance moves and challenge their friends to do the same. Duuple has partnered with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for this initial challenge and will be donating to the charity.

Justin Timberlake postponed a Man of the Woods tour date at Madison Square Garden, explaining on social media that his "vocal chords are severely bruised" and he cannot perform "on doctor's orders," Page Six noted. Timberlake announced the postponement just two hours after MSG tweeted about the singer's second gig at the venue. The new show is rescheduled to take place on Timberlake's birthday, Jan. 31.

Fox has announced a slew of premiere dates, including the final run of Gotham, TheWrap.com noted. The Batman-prequel drama will premiere its fifth and final season on Thursday, Jan. 3; the final season of Gotham will feature the addition of the villain Bane, who will be played by Shane West. Other shows announced included The Orville ( Dec. 30 ), the legal drama Proven Innocent ( Feb. 15 ) and the live musical Rent ( Jan. 27 ), among others.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino will have more time before he starts his eight-month prison term for tax fraud, Page Six reported. He will now have until Jan. 15 to report to prison, although it's unclear where he'll be incarcerated. Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, pled guilty in January to similar charges; they were charged in 2014 with tax offenses related to nearly $9 million in income.
