Rufus with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Chaka Khan was nominated for The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2018.
According to a press release, "Rufus with Chaka Khan are nominated not only for the freedom and raw sexuality of pure funk, but also the racial and social integration at the heart of rock 'n' roll." The Chicago-based band had hits such as "Tell Me Something Good," "Ain't Nobody" and "Sweet Thing."
Through 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 5, 2017, fans can visit rockhall.com/vote to cast votes. Voting is capped at one ballot per day.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2018 Inductees will be announced in December 2017. Inductions, which Klipsch Audio is presenting, will be held at Public Auditorium in Cleveland on April 14, 2018.
Some of the other nominees include LL Cool J, Moody Blues, Bon Jovi, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Nina Simone and Rage Against the Machine. |
