Hundreds of family and friends of the late Rev. Gregory Dell gathered at Alice Miller Chapel in Evanston Nov. 20 to pay tribute to the work of a lifelong activist, mentor, colleague, father and grandfather.
Among the speakers were Rev. Vernice Thorn, Cathy Knight, Kathy Tholin, Ruth and Jim Satorius, Andy Gordon, Randy Albers, Carl Rinder, Charolette Lill, Rebecca Pries, Manny Ayala, and Rev. Joe Agne. A pick-up choir recruited on Facebook for the occasion sang, with Dana Brown, pianist.
