Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., now has concessions to go. The packages include favorites from its concessions stand, including soda, candy, beer, wine and, of course, Music Box Popcorn. ( Photos IDs are required of orders with alcohol. ) Orders can be placed online through the Music Box website, with a variety of packages available.
Joined by U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren at an online rally, hundreds of restaurant workers demanded life-saving protections during the COVID-19 crisis, including paid sick leave and adequate Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ), according to a Restaurant Opportunities Centers ( ROC ) United press release. In late March, ROC United launched ApplebeesIsRotten.coma website that enables worker advocacy directly with Dine Brands, the parent company of Applebee's and IHOP. Warren said, "Eight million restaurant workers have been laid off or furloughed as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Now more than ever we need to do more to provide health care and economic relief to take care of these workers and their families."

Lincoln Park spot AlineaChicago's only restaurant with a full three stars from Michelinis selling a six-course to-go meal to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Eater Chicago noted. Unlike Alinea's customary three-figure price figure ( which varies depending on time and date ), this meal costs $49.95, and it needs to be heated. Alinea is offering the meal, at least this initial run, through Wed., May 13. |
