CHICAGO, Illinois — The 39th Reeling: Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival today announced the winning films from its 2021 program, which included 33 feature films and 54 short films curated in nine programs. This year’s submissions came from more than 15 countries including Israel, Turkey, Iran, Australia, Italy, Romania, and Chile. This year’s Festival ran September 24 – 30 in-person and September 27 – October 7 virtually. Reeling is the second-oldest LGBTQ+ film festival in the world, and a Chicago cultural institution.
