Chicago Red Dress Party (CRDP) will be hosting its second annual event at the iconic Joffrey Ballet Studios on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. CRDP, produced by Equality Project and part of a national initiative, is an annual event dedicated to creating visibility for the HIV/AIDS movement and raising funds for organizations that provide vital community services. The color red is an international symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness. The only rule for the evening: all attendees must wear red! In addition, to honor the spirit of the "Red Dress," everyone is encouraged to attend wearing a red dress - even the (boldest) men are invited to join in on the fun. A prize will be awarded to the guest donning the most inspiring and innovative red dress. With a decadent red carpet reception, high-energy entertainment by Miss Foozie and a special guest appearance, the evening is sure to be one of the most dynamic and memorable events of the year!

As a part of a national initiative, Board President and Executive Producer Kyler Powell says he brought Red Dress Party to Chicago "to increase awareness of the HIV/AIDS movement through creating innovative social interactions." With his commitment to continuing the fight for equal protection under the law for all American citizens, Powell is one of Chicago's brightest up-and-coming civil rights activists. Currently, there are Red Dress Parties all over the United States, from Seattle, Washington to Birmingham, AL. Additional notable supporters include Chelsea Clinton and Deborah Cox.

As Chicago Red Dress Party's premier event of the season, don't miss the opportunity to support the organization. Tickets go on sale February 21, 2012, and prices start at $70 for General Admission and go up to $240 for VIP Exclusive. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance, as prices increase as the event date approaches. General Admission, VIP, and VIP Exclusive levels are available.
