Contrary to what some may believe, the Randolph Street Market Festival is a year-round event.
Usually taking place on the last weekend of each month, the event is located at the 1350 block of West Randolph Street and inside the beautiful Beaux Arts Plumbers Hall at 1340 W. Washington St. ( Until May, it will be strictly indoors. )
The festival has something for everyone, offering fur coats, vintage photos, fashions, subway maps, stylish handbags ( courtesy of people such as Kevin G. ), chic dresses, perfume bottlesand loads of food ( Bar Cacao chocolate and Tatewick Treats among them ). ( By the way, there's also musicincluding some irresistible grooves that DJ D. Jones provided. )
For the more charitable, be sure to stop by the Project Onward area on the second floor. This project supports the professional development of adults with talents in the visual artsartists who may have autism, Down's syndrome, bipolar disorder or other conditions.
