Happy Pride.

WOW! Another year has past. This past year was one of growth, independence and an end to an era of uncertainty, contentment and fear. I learned a lot about different relationships and what my desire was for each. I set out with a certain agenda in mind of what I was and was not going to experience during the year; however, the Universe had it's own divine plan.

I had resolved within my spirit that I was not going to be in a relationship until some time in 2005 or 2006, maybe. I continued to manage my three lists, the completion of school and progression at work. Don't get me wrong, I was actively dating and practicing the Five Phases when out of nowhere—BAM! I got completely knocked off balance.

I had always stated that the person that the Universe had for me would be brought to my doorstep by Moses himself with a directive from God telling me that this was the one. HA! I had my lists all worked out and was even efficient enough to ask my spirit to request those things that my mind couldn't conceive. You see, I was covering all bases.

I don't believe in telling a person what you are looking for, but in allowing them to be themselves while paying attention to how and where they will fit in your life. Too many times, a person hears what you say you want or what you are looking for and they put on that mask—only to remove it later. Well, I have to tell you that this person wasn't necessarily delivered by Moses, but instead came by way of someone I truly trust. Everything about this introduction, the person, our connection, my reaction was something that I never would have or could have orchestrated myself so completely if I had tried.

We connect in a way that is truly metaphysical. She cares for me, responds to me, nurtures me, listens to me, respects me, inspires me, loves me, spoils me, adores me, protects me, understands me, supports me, motivates me and 'checks' me like no one else has. I am a different person with her as a result of having experienced all that I have in the past and the lessons that I learned from those that I have related to and loved along the way.

Why am I sharing this with you? Because for all of you who think that it will never happen to you, it will. Stay true to what you want, don't settle for just anything, never play second, make sure that YOU are the type of person to attract the caliber of person that you want and leave the rest up to the Universe. It will happen when you least expect it, just continue to be true to yourself. I now have my very own angel. Her name is Traci, but to me she's my WoboCop. She and I have a lot to be proud of this year. Happy Pride Baby! Until next month, be true to yourself.
