Weeks after key leadership left Out magazine and The Advocate, Pride Media—the country's largest LGBTQ media company—announced a new and innovative leadership structure with the appointment of several editors.

The Advocate reported that CEO Diane Anderson-Minshall will be executive editorial director of all five brands: Out, The Advocate, Plus, Pride and Out Traveler—overseeing 15 editors, three social media experts and five creative arts staffers who each work across the brands.

David Artavia and Tracy E. Gilchrist have been named editors-in-chief of The Advocate, while Richard Perez-Feria will head Out. Mikelle Street, formerly Out's senior editor, has been named digital director of the magazine. Also, some of the other changes involve Trudy Ring, the copy chief who will become senior politics editor of The Advocate; and Jacob Anderson-Minshall, who will become editor-in-chief of OutTraveler.com as well as production editor of Out, Plus,- and The Advocate.

On Dec. 11, Zach Stafford and Phillip Picardi, the respective editors-in-chief of The Advocate and Out—two LGBTQ brands owned by Pride Media—left their posts; on Dec. 31, Out Deputy Editor Nico Lang also departed, saying in a statement, in part, "I wanted basic transparency, accountability and respect from our owners as the publication weathers a uniquely difficult time in its history, and that was not offered."
