Pansy Division marks 30th anniversary of album with tour that hits Chicago

Pansy Division—one of the first openly LGBTQ+ rock bands—is marking the 30th anniversary of its debut album, Undressed, by performing at several spots across the country.
"Pansy Division started in 1991 because we knew there were gay rock musicians, but almost no one was really out at that time," said vocalist/rhythm guitarist Jon Ginoli in a statement.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its debut album Undressed (Lookout! Records, 1993), Pansy Division is hitting the road this year for nine shows across the country, including performances in Minneapolis, Chicago, Seattle, Baltimore and New York City. The Chicago stop will take place June 17 at Beat Kitchen, and that show (as well as the ones in Minneapolis and Milwaukee) will include the band Bev Rage & the Drinks.
Pansy Division consists of Ginoli, Chris Freeman (bass, vocals), Luis Illades (drums) and Joel Reader (lead guitar, vocals).
