PFLAG to launch TransKids, SoFierce social media campaign on March 31

WASHINGTON, DC—Beginning Tuesday, March 31, PFLAG invites allies, family, and friends of transgender kids ( trans kids ) to join a an uplifting social media campaign called #TransKids #SoFierce ( pflag.org/transkidssofierce/ ).

#TransKids #SoFierce is a grassroots social media campaign that encourages families and allies to build up trans kids by sharing positive support while holding lawmakers accountable for anti-trans bills. To participate, share a fun story, choreograph a dance, share a photo montage or your favorite #fierce playlists that show why you think #TransKids #SoFierce. Encourage others to join you, too!

The social media campaign will be launched on Instagram, Snapchat, Amino, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

Participation in #TransKids #SoFierce is voluntary. The campaign's main hashtags to include in posts, video, photos, alt. text, etc. are: #TransKids #SoFierce @PFLAG #PFLAGProud and others tags to add include #ProtectTransKids #Transfolks #Transfolx #LGBTQ.

Along with PFLAG chapters, early participants and supporters of #TransKids #SoFierce include songwriter Benjamin Scheuer, who's new song and video "I Am Samantha" debuts on Transgender Day of Visibilty, actor Zach Barack, the first openly transgender performer in a Marvel movie, the National Association of Social Workers, and Athlete Ally.
