Roger Grannan
Roger A. Grannan, 50, registered surgical nurse and former longtime employee of Columbus/St. Joseph's Hospital, passed away after a long illness at his home June 5, 2004.
He was beloved life partner of the late Gary Brunner; son of the late Roscoe Patrick and Marian Grannan; brother of Gregory (Debbie) Grannan of Milwaukee, Kathleen (Robert) Pares of Florida and Kevin (Kathy) Grannan of Wisconsin Rapids.
He was also dearest friend of Bob Wiedenbeck, Ken Morrow, Kathleen (Thomas) Flaherty and the Rev. Bradley Mickelson.
He was uncle to Kelly (Richard) Williams, Kimberly (John) Meyers, Kyle (Kelly) Grannan, Kary (Barry) Cohen, Kristie Pares and Kayla and Kelvin Grannan, and great uncle to many.
He was faithful companion to Roscoe and Brenda, the wire-haired fox terriers.
Roger will be remembered for his love of life, his sense of humor, and his generosity.
A celebration of life will be held Sat., July 10, 4 p.m. at New Spirit Metropolitan Community Church, 542 S. Scoville, Oak Park, IL (708) 848-5460. In lieu of flowers, donations to Howard Brown Health Center, (773) 281-5058.
