Robert 'Bobby' J. Murillo, 46, passed away Feb. 4, 2004. Bobby was the dear son of Robert V. Murillo and Alicia (Sanchez) Murillo (deceased), loving brother of Alex, Lauren, Stephanie and Valerie, and his best friend since high school, Bobby Broderick.
He leaves behind his family and many friends in Chicago, as well as his adored friends in San Francisco and South Beach.
Bobby will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his culinary expertise, his joyful presence, his superb wit and his genuine big heart. Many remember Bobby as the handsome hunk dancing at the grills out front of Roscoe's during Gay Pride Day and Market Days. His enthusiastic and humorous performances added a tremendous richness to the culture within the community.
Having been a veteran, he helped advocate for the highest quality of care for AIDS patients in the system. His courageous participation in studies and experimental therapies resulted in significant benefits to many others.
A funeral mass was said Feb. 6 Sacred Heart Church in Lombard. Honorary donations are suggested to your favorite charity.
Per Bobby 's wishes, a celebration of his fabulous life will be held this coming summer dispersing his ashes from the Golden Gate Bridge in the San Francisco Bay. For further information, please contact Martha Reney at reneymartha@msn.com . |
