Exclusive Dean Flynn
Pubert: Hi Dean! We picked you for our magazine because you are from Chicago and have some considerable talents. How did you start making XXX films in the first place?
Dean Flynn: I've always wanted to do adult movies. I had applied to a few companies
a few years ago and would always
receive the same response: 'Looks great, but could you send some better quality images?' At the time, I must have thought cell phone images were acceptable.
[ laughs ] Clearly, they weren't. Then, in 2006, I got serious about doing it and got some better photos. TitanMen was the first to sit down and interview me by phone. Then they invited me out to San Francisco to do my first film. I was offered an exclusive contract after that scene and continued a two year contract through 2009.
P: What part of Chicago are you from?
DF: I'm originally from downstate, though lived in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago prior to moving to New York City.
P: How do you feel being a part of the first Blu-ray™ [ gay ] porn DVD?
DF: It's pretty exciting. TitanMen is doing many great things to continue their push as a leader in the gay adult film world.
P: Is it hard to watch yourself on screen or is it hot?
DF: For each movie, I watch my scene one time to see how my performance was. It's rather awkward. I find myself thinking, 'Do I really make those faces?' Of course, in my private life, I am told I do!
P: Tell me a funny story that happened
on set?
DF: There's always something funny that goes on behind the camera. I think the funniest was when I was filming Fear. My neck, wrists, and ankles were locked into a chair and I couldn't get out. I was struggling ( of course ) and one of the screws came loose from my wrist and up goes my hand right in the middle of the action. I nonchalantly put my hand back in place and continued to 'struggle.' We replayed the facial expressions over and over and it was hysterical!
P: What do you like about the leather community?
DF: I really like the openness of many men in the community. I find great comfort in men that are strong-minded and strong-headed. I find this to be widespread throughout the community.
P: What's the kinkiest thing that you have ever done?
DF: Define kink? Hmm. Getting fucked and cumming in my own mouth is kinda nice!
P: What are your plans for the future?
DF: I am currently getting my Master's Degree. After that I will probably settle down in the suburbs of New Jersey in a nice house with a white picket fence … you get the rest.
