Out at CHM series spotlights second event of 2015 with Secret Loves: Before We Could Ask or Tell
Chicago History Museum's LGBT program celebrates 12 years
CHICAGO ( March 12, 2015 ) — The Chicago History Museum's program series exploring LGBT issues, Out at CHM, continues in its twelfth year of programming with Secret Loves: Before We Could Ask or Tell on March 26 at the Museum.
A lively dialogue will feature former armed services personnel and activists whose contributions for their country inspires the work to advance fairness and quality for our nation's LGBT service members, veterans and their families. Jim Darby, Susan Heggeland, and Marquell Smith will share their personal stories from military service while Megan Carney adds the perspective of what she learned while writing Women at War for Rivendell Theatre Ensemble.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a drinks and appetizers reception featuring musical entertainment from travis. At 6:30 p.m., Scott Duff of WCIU radio will moderate the discussion among the group of panelists.
Secret Loves is the second program in the Out at CHM series for 2015, followed by StoryCorps's OutLoud on May 7. The events are $20 and $15 for Museum members and students.
