Congregation Or Chadash, Chicago's only GLBT synagogue, is holding a two-session mini-course in August, 'Kabbalah: A Quick Dip in the Ocean.' The course will be an introduction to the Jewish Mystical Tradition of Kabbalah, and will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11 and Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Pre-registration is not required, and the course is open to the public and free of charge, although a $10 donation per class is requested. The course will be taught by Rabbi Laurence Edwards, and will be held in the Emanuel Congregation library at 5959 N.
