My column had to be done before the major weekend of events, so I hope all went well. Jean and I got out of town for a working trip, to prepare for the upcoming major move. Anyone who has been in our offices knows I am not prone to throwing out materials. My colleagues sent me away I think to purge and purge and purge the office. But I just found some treasure pics of people like Danny Sotomayor, Dr. Ron Sable, some key leaders in drag ... who can throw out history? Don't worry, a lot is going to Gerber/Hart Library.

Speakeasy Supper Club hosts an evening to benefit About Face Youth Theatre and Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago, with hors d'oeuvres, open bar, silent auction and a special performance by Michael Feinstein.
