The 40th Northalsted Market Daysa live music street festival celebrating community in Chicago's Northalsted/Lakeview districtwill take place Aug. 6-7.
The half-mile long summer festival features all-day lineups of live music on five stages, 200+ unique vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink, DJs/dancing and more. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend.
Founded in 1982, the celebration now spans from Belmont to Addison avenues on North Halsted Street in Chicago's Northalsted neighborhood the country's first recognized "gay village" and a Chicago LGBTQ+ historic landmark.
Scheduled performers/shows include Ada Vox, Anastacia, Bitch, Chicago Spirit Brigade, The Chicago Gay Men's Chorus, Isaac Escalante, Meghan Murphy, 3 Martini Jeannie, Ginger Minj, Richard Streetman and Jason Fein, Matteo Lane, '80s tribute band Sixteen Candles, DJ Joe Gauthreaux, G FLIP and "Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute," among others.
