New alderperson Maria Hadden weds

Newly elected Chicago Ald. Maria Hadden wed partner Natalia Vera on March 18.

Hadden told Windy City Times that the ceremony took place "on our eighth anniversary in a private ceremony. We are so excited to start this new part of our journey together and to make many new memories as a married couple."

The couple will honeymoon in Cartagena before Hadden takes office in May.
