—La Storia Ristorante, the newest concept from Ideology Entertainment, is slated to open this year in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood at 1154 N. Dearborn St. The multilevel Italian restaurant will span two former residences—one built in 1896 and the other 1918—that have undergone extensive renovations. La Storia is a 4,000-square-foot property that will seat approximately 120 people. Visit www.lastoriachicago.com .

—Glazed and Infused in River North ( 30 E. Hubbard St. ) has brand-new late-night hours at its doughnut window—on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.-2 a.m. The new fall menu's flavors celebrate the season with offerings like the Caramel Pumpkin Pecan, White Chocolate Cranberry and Seedling Apple Cider doughnuts. ( There's also a ham and cheddar doughnut. ) Items are $2-$3.50 each.

—Kanela Breakfast Club has opened a new restaurant in Wicker Park, at 1408 N. Milwaukee Ave. This is the third Kanela to open in Chicago with previous locations in Lake View and Old Town, and is owned by restaurateur Chris Lardakis and former Illinois state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias. The Wicker Park restaurant will eventually serve as the bread baking headquarters providing scratch made English muffins, croissants, monkey bread, cinnamon rolls and more to all the locations.

—Michael Jordan fans can now "Be Like Mike" when dining at Michael Jordan's Steak House at the Hotel Intercontinental, 505 N. Michigan Ave. Those who request Jordan's signature booth will receive a menu packed with the basketball legend's favorite dishes such as colossal crab cake, roasted beet salad, MJ's Delmonico steak and the mashed potato trio, among other items. —On Veterans' Day ( Nov. 11 ), ShowPlace ICON, 150 W. Roosevelt Rd., will offer a free small popcorn to all veterans. Also, Lottie's, 1925 W. Cortland Ave., will offer a free cheese pizza and MAK: Modern Asian Kitchen, 1924 W. Division St., will offer 50 percent off orders to all veterans.

—On Wed., Nov. 5, all Chicago Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants will donate 50 percent of the day's proceeds, up to $20,000, to The University of Chicago Medicine Kovler Diabetes Center. ( Customers must mention Kovler from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at any Chicago Chipotle restaurant for the contribution to be made. ) In addition, guests are invited to support Kovler by posting a photo of their meal to Twitter with the hashtag #BurritofulCause for the chance to win a Chipotle-catered party for 20.

—The culinary team at Piccolo Sogno Due, 340 N. Clark St., has announced its fall menu. Some of the items include antipasti such as calamari and arancini ( Sicilian saffron rice cakes ); salads such as seppia ( cuttlefish, lemon, fennel, arugula and squid ink ); and ravioli with local squash and walnut-filled pasta. —On Thursday, Nov. 6, Michael Kornick and Executive Chef Erick Williams of mk, 868 N. Franklin St., welcome Ken Wright of Ken Wright Cellars for an exclusive tasting experience at 6 p.m. Some of the dishes are Raspberry Point oysters and littleneck clams; Pan-seared Maine diver scallops; and charcoal-grilled ranch-raised venison. The event is $125 per person, including tax and gratuity; call 312-482-9179.

—Pinstripes—which is in Northbrook, Oak Brook and South Barrington ( as well as Edina, Minnesota )—is inviting people to take part in its "4th Annual Turkey Bowl" throughout November. Those who score a "turkey," or three strikes in a row, will receive a complimentary turkey platter. On Thanksgiving Day, Pinstripes will open its doors 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for bowling and bocce, and at 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for dining. See www.pinstripes.com .

—James Beard Award Winner and Bravo Top Chef Masters contestant chef David Burke has opened his newest farm-to-table venture, Grillhouse by David Burke, at 1301 American Lane in Schaumburg. Chef Chris Cubberley to help head up the kitchen at the 22,000-square-foot, 450-seat grillhouse. "Shares" will include warm cured olives and BBQ maple bacon, among oth items, while "starters" include lobster bisque and grilled octopus. "Mains" has dishes such as branzino and roasted duck breast, while "Sweet and Savory" items include the Schaumburg sundae and Chocolate State of Mind. Visit www.DBGrillhouse.com .
