The straight professor claims 75 percent of gender-variant male children grow up to be gay men. The Stanford Daily criticized Bailey and Stanford professors for not questioning the validity of his arguments and for allowing continued laughter from students at his guest lecture where he played video of a young girl saying she 'want[s] a penis.'

San Diego has a new Gay and Lesbian Center. One million dollars rehabbed the old, run-down building that now provides 18,000 square feet of meeting and community space for GLBT people in the city, reports Gay365.com . The 16-year-old girl who was beaten senseless after a day of silence march is home and recovering, reports the Concord Journal. Police investigators are still looking for clues, but have yet to arrest anyone. School officials say the girl's altercation with another student on the day of silence was unrelated to the girl's beating.

Students in San Ramon Unified School District in California planned to ask school board officials yesterday to act against anti-gay harassment in school, reports Contra Costa Times.
