NWSL releases schedule for 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup

Chicago (March 9, 2021) - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced the remainder of the schedule along with the broadcast details of the group stage for the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, presented by Secret Deodorant.

Following the tournament's opening match between the Chicago Red Stars and Houston Dash at BBVA Stadium on Friday, April 9, the Red Stars return home to SeatGeek Stadium for a pair of matchups against Portland Thorns FC and KC NWSL.

Chicago hosts Portland on Thursday, April 15 at 6:30pm CT. They will take on KC NWSL on Tuesday April 20 at 7:30pm CT. Both matches will stream on Paramount+.

Both of Chicago's matches at SeatGeek Stadium will be closed to the general public.

The Red Stars will finish their group stage campaign at Cheney Stadium against OL Reign on Tuesday, April 27 at 9pmCT on Paramount+.

The final will air on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+, and every other game will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. All games will be available internationally on Twitch, including in Canada for all games that are not on CBS Sports Network.

The 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by Secret Deodorant will see the league's 10 teams organized into two divisions, East and West. Each team will play four matches in home markets, as approved by the NWSL's Medical Task Force, followed by the top team from each division competing in the final slated for May 8, 2021 on CBS. The championship site will be determined by the league at a later date.
