The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance ( NQAPIA ) is hosting the Community Catalyst Awards on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Cai Restaurant, 2100 S. Archer Ave., 6-11 p.m.
Honorees will include Chicago Desi Youth Rising ( CDYR ); Tanvi Sheth, of the Transformative Justice Law Project ( TJLP ); and Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Chicago.
Admission is $100-$125, and includes a 12-course banquet, one free alcoholic drink, a cash bar, a Bollywood drag performance, music by DJ clubchild and dancing.
