Thousands of NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt panels were displayed at Navy Pier Labor Day Weekend as part of the year's largest display of the memorial to people lost to AIDS. NAMES Project Chicago hosted the display, with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The local chapter of this ever-expanding quilt hosts regular quilting bees on the North Side. Call ( 773 ) 472-1600.
