CHICAGO ( June 12, 2019 ) — MillerCoors is celebrating Pride all summer long in Chicago through the "Tap Into Change" program, which will direct a portion of the proceeds from every MillerCoors product sold at select accounts towards non-profit organizations.

The program will contribute up to $50,000 to local groups and agencies focused on LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS related causes. Now in its eighth year, MillerCoors has donated more than $200,000, to local nonprofits through the Tap Into Change program.

Tap Into Change runs from June 1 through August 31 at 20 participating locations, including: Avenue Tavern, Big Chicks, Bobby Love's, The Call, Cell Block, Charlie's Chicago, The Closet, DS Tequila, The Glenwood, Hamburger Mary's, Jack Hammer, Little Jim's, Meeting House, North End, Pub 626, Roscoe's, Sidetrack, Sofo Tap, Splash and Spyners.

"We are continuing to invest in both national LGBTQ organizations and ones in our hometown markets, and this is the latest effort to ensure we're doing our part to give back to a community where we work and live," said Michael Nordman, national LGBTQ community affairs manager for MillerCoors. "Our hope is consumers feel good knowing they are doing more than just buying a beer when they purchase one of our products at these participating bars. They are helping to make an impact with organizations that are doing important work in the LGBTQ community."

"We are thrilled to be one of the beneficiaries of Tap Into Change, which provides needed funds for our holistic model of healthcare for LGBTQ people and allies in Chicago and beyond," said David Ernesto Munar, President and CEO of Howard Brown Health. "MillerCoors has been a longstanding and generous partner of our community and we're proud to work with them and with our bar partner, The North End, to improve the health of our community."

Other benefitting organizations include: A Just Harvest, About Face Theatre, Affinity, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, American Veterans for Equal Rights, Care for Real, Center on Addison, Center on Halsted, Chicago House, Heartland Alliance Health, Howard Brown Health, Illinois Safe Schools Alliance, Legacy Project, Leather Archives & Museum, Legal Council for Health Justice, Pride Arts Center, and TPAN, .

MillerCoors was awarded the 2016 Corporate Equality Award from the Human Rights Campaign and has received a 100% rating on HRC Corporate Equality Index for 16 years in a row. Most recently, MillerCoors proudly signed on to be part of the HRC Business Coalition for the Equality Act.
