Macklemore and Ryan Lewis get Grammy love

With an album that includes the gay anthem "Same Love," hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis has scored seven Grammy nominations.
When the Recording Academy revealed nominations for the 56th Grammy Awards Dec. 6, the duo received nominations for best new artist, song of the year and album of the year, among other nods. Only Jay-Z's nine nominations topped them.
Seventeen-year-old newcomer Lorde received four nominations, including record of the year, song of the year and best pop solo performance—but not best new artist.
Album of the year nominees are Sara Bareilles, Daft Punk, rapper Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Taylor Swift. Record of the Year nods went to "Get Lucky" ( Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams ), "Radioactive" ( Imagine Dragons ), "Royals" ( Lorde ), "Locked out of Heaven" ( Bruno Mars ) and "Blurred Lines" ( Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams ).
"Same Love" is one of the Song of the Year nominees. The others are "Roar" ( Katy Perry ), "Royals" ( Lorde ), "Just Give Me a Reason" ( Pink featuring Nate Ruess ) and "Locked out of Heaven" ( Bruno Mars ).
The Grammys awards ceremony will air on CBS on Jan. 26, 2014. See www.grammy.com for more information.
