Eric Rosena co-founder of Chicago's About Face Theatre who was also its first artistic directorwrote and directed the LGBTQ short film Netuser, which will be released online Friday, April 24.
In the movie, Tony winner and Emmy nominee Denis O'Hare plays Peter Sardovski, an activist whose life unravels when a nightmare about political violence turns true. Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel Award nominee Claybourne Elder plays his husband, who struggles to prevent Peter's compulsion from endangering their young son. Two-time Tony nominee Johanna Day plays his sister-in-law, a NYPD detective who struggles to shield her brother's family from danger. Lastly, the movie features Tatiana Wechsler as Peter's editor, Jenny.
Visitors to NetuserFilm.com can view the trailer and sign up for a digital code to watch the short film online in its entirety.
"When we made Netuser, we expected a very different world than the one we find ourselves in," said Rosen in a statement. "With the cancelation of all major film festivals this year, and the timeliness of our film, we decided it would be best to share it as widely as possible now." |
