Lush Cosmetics' DRAGmas features RuPaul's Drag Race alum, Chicago drag queens

Lush Cosmetics'DRAGmas has launched across North America, featuring three RuPaul's Drag Race alum and Chicago drag queens: Kim Chi, Shea Couleé and The Only Detox. Would you be interested in an interview with Shea Couleé to chat about her starring role in the campaign and her upcoming meet and greet at Lush Michigan Avenue on November 30th? We're hosting a private media hour that day and can set up some time for a chat with the queen herself.

With the drag community being huge fans of Lush, what better way to celebrate our joint love of moving, shaking and bathing than having Chicago's finest star in our holiday campaign?

"The holidays are my favorite time of the year! I always look forward to spending my time with loved ones, and reflecting on all my blessings throughout the year. It's a time of year that's filled with love, generosity, and tradition. One of my new favorite traditions during the holidays is practicing self-care. Though the holidays are fun for some, ( let's be real ) it can be stressful for others. That is why I am so excited to partner with one of my favorite self-care cosmetics brands, Lush Cosmetics, alongside my sisters Kim Chi and Detox and add a little drag to your holiday season! So, be sure to run out and try a Candy Cane Reusable Bubble Bar and treat yourself to a fabulously stimulating bubble bath," said Shea in a recent Instagram post.

In something reminiscent of a maxi-challenge from RuPaul's Drag Race, Shea Couleé, Kim Chi and Detox were tasked with curating a custom look inspired by a selection of Lush holiday treats and to "bring it to the runway" ( or rather a photoshoot. ) In keeping with Lush's commitment to reducing waste and sustainability, Shea Couleé had a custom outfit created by fashion designer Edaa Birthing, using repurposed materials sourced from a local vintage shop.

"Edaa grabbed bags from local drag one-stop-shop Beatnix in Chicago, and it was Christmas bags of things left over from last year. She used these items to create ruffles for the look as well as left over chiffons - then built little candy canes to go with the look to create a little fun and whimsy. I love taking things like that and taking a twist," Shea explained while on set with Lush.

As part of the integrated campaign, their images will bring Christmas cheer to shoppers visiting all 250 Lush shops across North America, Lush's website, and social channels throughout November and December. What's more, Kim Chi, Shea Couleé and Detox each host a Meet & Greet in Lush shops across the US to celebrate the partnership with fans.

From November 21 to December 6, Shea Couleé's candy cane inspired outfit will wrap up the holiday campaign, including a free Meet & Greet at Lush Michigan Avenue on November 30th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Those in attendance will have the chance to shop Shea Couleé's favorite Lush products, the items that inspired her fierce look in the window ( like Candy Cane Reusable Bubble Bar, Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb, Santa Bomb Bomb Bath Bomb, Golden Wonder Bath Bomb and more ), and limited edition holiday goodies.

We are also hosting a media hour from 3-4pm that same day if you want to pop in, say hi to Shea Couleé, and grab some of your favorites.
