The floors of the Magnificent Mile's 900 North Michigan Shops in Chicago were transformed Feb 1 into a romantic paradise for couples one day hoping to tie the knot.
With the exquisite work of Chicago-based Kehoe Designs complementing each of the wares presented by inclusion-proud companies such as Bloomindales, Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, Teuscher Chocolates of Switzerland, Malin + Goetz, Bonobos Guideshop and BVLGARI among a host of others, the first Love is Love event presented by Modern Luxury Weddings magazine was both an aesthetic success and a hit with the close to 400 attendees with all proceeds going to Equality Illinois.
"We wanted to produce an event that was all-inclusive for all couples," Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago Group Publisher Amy Allen said. "Our magazine used to be called Modern Luxury Brides and we recently changed it to Weddings. We host a lot of wedding shows that were primarily focused on the dress, but the emphasis here is that love is love. It is for everybody."
Partners for the event included 900 North Michigan Shops, Kehoe Designs, Four Seasons Hotel. The Becca Kaufman Orchestra ( BKO ) and BeatMix Music.
