Grassroots historian Owen Keehnen is currently working on a book entitled The Legend of the Bearded Lady, which will capture the life and times of the noted Chicago performer of the 1970s-80s as well as the downtown glitter scene.

Dugan's Bistro, 420 N. Dearborn in Chicago, opened May 31, 1973. For almost a decade it was an enormous part of Chicago's gay disco scene.

Those with stories about BL or the Bistro ( or the Eddie Dugan businesses, Coconuts or Paradise ) please share them to help preserve Chicago LGBT history.
