The Board of Directors of the NAMES Project Foundation, Chicago Chapter has named Richard Clegg as President of the Chicago Chapter of the NAMES Project Foundation Board. Clegg has worked for the YMCA organization for the past 24 years as an Executive Director in Ohio and Michigan, worked at the National Office here in Chicago and is the Group Vice President of Operations for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Scouting for All is asking for support from the GLBT community. 'We are protesting the Boy Scouts of America discrimination against gay and atheist youth and adults. We are also looking for speakers from GLBT organizations and GLBT community leaders to speak at our Press Conference May 19,' the group said. Suicide & LGBT Mental Health in Chicago: A Community Discussion will be held April 7. Join mental health professionals and gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community members in a program to address the reality of suicide and mental illness in Chicago's GLBT community. The program includes a presentation by Peter M. Gutierrez, Ph.D., assistant chairperson of Northern Illinois University's Department of Psychology, and a panel discussion.
