Lesbian-Feminist Womyn's Music Herstory at CHS
The Chicago Historical Society is the first mainstream historical society in the nation to honor the contributions of lesbian-feminist women's music and culture.
OUT at CHS: Exploring the LGBT Past—Women, Womyn, Grrls, and Kings: Chicago Lesbian Feminist Women's Music Culture Since the 1970s will be Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004, 1-6 p.m. This extravaganza celebrating the lesbian-feminist women's music subculture over the last 30 years features performers and panelists discussing the national/historical importance of women's music and Chicago's specific contributions (Jackie Anderson, Toni Armstrong Jr., Tammy Cresswell, Lin Daniels, Ubaka Hill, Dr. Kristin Lems, and Dr. Bonnie Morris). The program is followed by a reception with a DJ.
