Touche, 6412 N. Clark St., held their annual Leather Eye For the Preppy Guy contest on Saturday, April 27, in conjunction with their neighbor, Leather 64TEN, 6410 N. Clark St. Five contestants vied for the title and a chance to win a prize package which included a $500 leather makeover from Leather 64TEN, a weekend pass to this year's upcoming International Mr. Leather and more. From that field of five, Ross emerged victorious.
Raffle tickets sold at the event raised money for Groceryland Pantry, which serves PWAs across the northside, providing food and personal care items to their many clients. Thanks to brisk sales and a series of matching donations from attendees and other organizations, over $3,000 was raised, shattering any previous fundraising levels for the event from past years.
GroceryLand director Lori Cannon announced at the event that she calculated that since the inception of GroceryLand ( former known as Vital Bridges ), the organization has been able to provide over 18,000,000 meals to clients in need.
