National Hispanic Heritage Month takes place Sept. 15-Oct. 15, recognizing the many contributions of Hispanic Americans.

As an effort to acknowledge the successful influences and cultures of Hispanic Americans, Latin Restaurant Weeks, LLC, will host its inaugural campaign in Chicago on Oct. 4-18.

Founded in 2019 by Karinn Chavarria, Latin Restaurant Weeks began in Houston. To date, the culinary experience has expanded to Miami—and now, Chicago—with the involvement from more than 50 Latin-owned culinary businesses and professionals since its inception.

During Latin Restaurant Weeks, guests will be treated to prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner menus as well as cocktail specials starting at $10 from participating restaurants. This year's hottest food trend, birria, takes shape in the form of ramen or pizza available at Tacotlan; the classic Cuban sandwich is the star menu selection at Senor Pan; and specialty cocktail offerings are courtesy of Osito's Tap. Latin Restaurant Weeks organizers hope to gain an additional 10+ Latinx participants.
