LGBTQ-friendly senior housing proposed in Rogers Park

Two developers have united to propose a new Rogers Park project that would provide LGBTQ-friendly senior housing and artist living area/workspace, Blcok Club Chicago reported.
Alden Foundation, the mission-based arm of a local senior living development group, and Minneapolis-based Artspace made the proposal at a community meeting 49th Ward Ald. Maria Hadden organized Nov. 12.
The $30 million projecta five-story, 96,600-square-foot complexwould establish 81 apartments on the corner of Ashland Avenue and Howard Street. It is currently a city-owned lot that houses a community garden.
