Why: Last year OneWheaton made national headlines with its formation. Its single
purpose is to affirm LGBTQ students and alumni and provide a supportive community for them. Wheaton College is ranked the #1 most "LGBT Unfriendly" College by the Princeton Review in 2011, and does not allow gay alumni to announce their partners and children in the alumni magazine. Additionally, it routinely invites speakers who speal against same-sex partnerships and many of whom oppose LGBT civil rights.. OneWheaton is composed of Wheaton College alumni and exists to reassure LGBTQ and questioning students and their friends that it gets better. For more information visit www.onewheaton.com
