LGBTQ Victory Fund backs Buttigieg

LGBTQ Victory Fund—the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ candidates—announced its endorsement of South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg for president of the United States.
The announcement came on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, and happened in Brooklyn, just a few miles from where the Stonewall Inn still stands.
Victory Fund President & CEO Mayor Annise Parker made the announcement before 1,500 attendees at a WorldPride campaign event. Buttigieg accepted the endorsement and delivered remarks.
Victory Fund has endorsed thousands of candidates for local, state and federal government since 1991. Buttigieg is the group's first presidential endorsement. |
