Survey on Black lesbian history
Longtime Chicago lesbian activist and historian Melvyna Gaynor is seeking survey respondents for her new history project.
She would like people to answer the questions below to help us compile data essential to producing a video documentary on the Black LGBT community in Chicago from 1970 until today.

Homelessness training at Access on June 4
Lambda Legal is hosting a training for housing professionals, community organizations, members of the LGBT community, and LGBT allies and advocates on the fourth floor of Access Living, 115 W. Chicago Ave., on Thursday, June 4, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
These trainings are a statewide educational outreach effort to address LGBT homelessness and housing discrimination through federal policy. This is a partnership with Lambda Legal, The Illinois Department of Human Rights, The National Center for Lesbian Rights and The Illinois Safe Schools Alliance.
Lambda Legal Community Educator Crispin Torres and Staff Attorney Kyle Palazzo will be presenting on behalf of Lambda Legal throughout this training series.

Bilingual evening of workshops June 9
"Tools for the Casual Activist"a bilingual evening of workshops that the Trans Oral History Project is co-hosting as part of this year's United Latino Pridewill take place Wed., June 9, 6-9 p.m., at Youth Services Project, 3942 W. North Ave.
In "Learning to be a Rainbow Ambassador 101," for example, attendees will discuss how to approach ignorance from co-workers, strangers or family with education as well as practice real-life scenarios.
