LGBT flags vandalized at Wicker Park church

Police are investigating a possible hate crime after a message was spray-painted on an LGBT flag at Wicker Park Lutheran Church, 1500 N. Hoyne Ave., WGN-TV reported.

Surveillance video shows the vandal armed with spray paint around 3 a.m. on June 23 at the church.

The Rev. Jason Glombicki said someone spray-painted a black "X" on the transgender flag. He also said that someone wrote "we love kids" on the rainbow LGBT flag—a possible attempt to link homosexuality to pedophilia.
