In celebration of Unity Month ( September ) , WE ARE HERE: African-American Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Images,™ an exhibit of photographs by Richard Lee Gray, is on exhibit at Sulzer Regional Library, 4455 N. Lincoln, announced Clarence N. Wood, chairman of the Chicago Commission on Human Relations.
WE ARE HERE will be displayed until Fri., Sept. 28. A reception to celebrate the exhibit was held on Tues., Sept. 11, in the library's auditorium. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
In addition, there was 'WE ARE HERE: Spiritual Connections'—stories and dialogue with Black same-gender-loving ministers—the following night, Sept. 12, in the library's meeting room.
