On June 5, the Chicago Sky lost to the L.A. Sparks 68-63 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Forward Ruthy Hebard recorded her third double-double of the season (fourth career) with 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Sky lost their seventh consecutive game.
The game marked the third meeting in the last eight days between the Sky and Sparks. (Previous games took place May 28 and May 30.)
Sky forward/center Candace Parker, who did not play because of ankle problems, returned to Los Angeles for the first time since signing with Chicago in the 2021 WNBA free agency period. She was honored with a tribute video for her time with the Sparks during the first half.
The Sky (2-7) return to Chicago following its two-game road trip with a tilt against the Indiana Fever (1-9) on Wed., June 9 at 7 p.m CT. Sky fans can follow the action on WCIU The U or on CBS Sports Network. Indiana is coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on June 3, where the Fever went down 98-63.
