The KKK and a neo-Nazi group is planning a 'White Power Rally' in Berwyn Saturday May 31 in Janura Park from 1-3 p.m.
BUNGALO, the Berwyn United Neighborhood Gay and Lesbian Organization, will be participating in a prayer vigil that is being organized by the Interfaith Leadership Council as a counter demonstration to the KKK rally. The prayer vigil will occur at the Presbyterian Church of Berwyn, 3148 S. Clinton May 31st at 1 p.m.
This is deliberately scheduled to be held at the same time as the 'White Power Rally' by the KKK and neo-Nazi's.
On Sunday, June 1 there will be a brief service for the rededication and reconsecration of the Janura Park area used by the KKK. That service will take place at 1 p.m.
BUNGALO is supporting the prayer service and many members will be attending.
