Jamie Nabozny, plaintiff in the groundbreaking lawsuit establishing that schools must protect students based on sexual orientation, is partnering with the Alliance to support safe schools in Illinois. Jamie will keynote a free screening of the film Bullied about his life and his case on Saturday, September 29th, 2012. Jamie will also be personally accepting the Trailblazer Award at the Alliance's Annual Brunch on Sunday, September 30th, 2012. Jamie's school ordeal at the hands of anti-gay bullies and leaders who looked the other way has become an inspirational story of standing up for yourself and for countless other students benefitting from Jamie's groundbreaking lawsuit. Come hear directly from Jamie about his life and his continued commitment to ensuring schools are safe and respectful for all students. At the screening, Jamie will be taking questions directly from the audience. At the Alliance Brunch, Jamie will be honored for his courage during a brunch buffet and silent auction by 300 Alliance supporters, the Alliance Youth Committee, and the Alliance Board of Directors.
