Monday, March 6, 2017. 6-8:30 PM
Fleetwood-Jourdain Center 1655 Foster, Evanston, IL
The Women's Marches across the US saw record number attendance upwards of 4.2 million. "It wasn't long before neighborhood groups started forming", says Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, former Women's March on Washington-Illinois board member and current volunteer coordinator for Indivisible. "Many group leaders found the Indivisible Guide to be an effective resource to get active and organized. The underlying message is that your representative works for you. As a constituent, your job is to develop a relationship with your Member of Congress. Thank them when they do their job well. Ask how you can be helpful. Request town halls when big issues need to be addressed. This conference is designed to help those who are just getting their feet wet with activism and also for veteran activists looking for a fresh approach to creating an action plan."
