CHICAGO - The Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund today announced it has hired Tom Elliott as its communications director.
"We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund," said Steve Campbell, Political Director for ISDVF. "As we head into the general election in November and beyond, Tom's passion and experience will be an important asset for current members and candidates who are running for the state senate."
"I'm excited to join the Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund and help Democratic candidates for the state senate get their message out to as many voters as possible," said Tom Elliott. "We're going to see a blue wave sweep over Illinois unlike anything we've seen in recent history. In the era of Bruce Rauner and Donald Trump, we have a unique opportunity to strengthen our Democratic majority in the General Assembly and make state government work for working families — and I'm honored to play a part in working towards that goal."
Following the Illinois gubernatorial campaigns of State Senator Daniel Biss and Chicago Alderman Ameya Pawar, Elliott brings his experience working on several local and statewide political campaigns to head the communications department for the state senate's political operation. In this role, Elliott will assist candidates and their campaigns with developing communications strategies and forging relationships with local media. He will also serve as the official spokesperson for the organization and many of the campaigns.
Elliott started with the Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund on Monday, April 16, 2018. He can be reached at tom@ilsenatedems.org or 773-819-0503.
