Chicago, IL, August 7, 2015— The Illinois Gay Rodeo Association announces its Rodeo Round Town weekend August 21-23, 2015. The weekend will feature a series of fundraiser parties and events around Chicago to help ILGRA plan for a future full-fledged rodeo.

The weekend kicks off with a Rodeo Hoedown Dance at Charlie's Chicago, 3726 North Broadway at 9pm on Friday, August 21st. The evening's festivities include a membership drive, raffles, live auction and lots of country dancing.

The weekend continues Saturday night August 22nd at Touché, 6412 North Clark Street with the bar's popular "Cowboy Eye for the Leather Guy" makeover contest at 10pm. The winner of this contest will receive a cowboy makeover at the bar by Alcalas Western Wear, 1733 West Chicago Avenue. The new cowboy will be outfitted "head-to-toe" with a western hat down to a new pair of boots. Contestants are required to be in leather or other fetish gear. The night also includes country dancing with DJ Cowboy Eric, more raffles and a live auction.

Our Rodeo Round Town weekend wraps up with a Happy Trails Farwell Dance on Sunday, August 23rd at The Call, 1547 West Bryn Mawr Avenue. The dance begins at 4pm with DJ Cowboy Eric, more dancing, surprise entertainment and raffles.

Over the years, the Illinois Gay Rodeo Association has hosted the Windy City Rodeo at this weekend in August. Previous rodeos had raised thousands of dollars for several Chicago LGBT community service organizations. Even though ILGRA is not hosting a rodeo in 2015, they wanted to keep Chicago on the "rodeo map" by hosting this weekend with the hope of staging another rodeo in the future.
