CHICAGO, IL ( March 10, 2020 ) — This April 3 — 4th at the Chicago Hilton marks the start of conventions in Illinois focused on the cannabis industry, and one of the first of its kind will be the Illinois Cannabis Convention produced by the New England Cannabis Network. The convention will focus on being an affordable option for bringing the local players together and giving them the tools they need to grow and succeed.

Illinois has become the 11th state to legalize the use of recreational cannabis with more than $3 million in sales on the lst day of legalization, which definitely indicates that there is a major appetite in Illinois for marijuana. As of January, there were 38 dispensaries selling recreational marijuana which includes 10 in Chicago and 18 in surrounding suburbs. And there is more to come with a total of 75 new licenses scheduled to be issued by May 1.

"The New England Cannabis Network ( NECANN ) is very excited to partner with the Chicago Reader and local cannabis advocacy groups to bring this event dedicated to both medical cannabis & social justice and equity in Illinois for minorities disproportionately targeted in the failed "war on drugs", says Marc Shephard, President of NECANN.

The Illinois Cannabis Convention will have representation from the following industries to assist those local start-ups, established businesses and job/career seekers…….Accounting, Insurance, Marketing, Diversity & Inclusion, Banking, Payment Processing, Botanicals, Dosing Equipment, Patient Advocacy, Storage, Packaging, Displays & Fixtures, Grow Lights, Hemp Industry, Hydrophonics & Cultivation Products, Infused Products, Legal Resources, Licensing Services, Medical Resources, POS & Management Software, Smoking, Vaping and Dabbing Accessories, Training & Education, Inventory Tracking, Private Equity & Investment Resources, Security Services & Equipment, Testing & Lab Services, Tinctures, Salves & Topicals, Medical Experts and much more!
